【评估】
1. In-class Quizzes (60 points)
l 3 points each quiz, 13 quizzes altogether for continuous assessment;
l Final exam will be based on previous quizzes, 15 points;
l The quizzes may include multiple-choice, true/false, short answer questions, and case studies.
l Attendance extra credit (6 points)
2. Term Project (20 points)
l Students will be assigned to different groups to do
l Teacher evaluation + Peer evaluation
l Student will be graded upon the quality of the presented information, organization of the PowerPoint, non-verbal delivery quality, performance of the teamwork, and peer evaluation.
l Specific rubrics will be provided in class.
3. Writing Assignment (20 points)
l Choose one assignment from the options: short paper / project proposal / book review / case analysis / synopsis of thinktank report.
l A good piece of writing assignment should be well organized, logically structured, and constructed. Proper words and phrases are required. No evident grammatical errors should be found in the essay. Specific rubrics will be provided in class.
l Format:The essay should be 2000 words in English (3000 words in Chinese) at a minimum without reference page (reference pages are not required unless you use outside sources; at least 12 references for short papers), single-spaced, 12 points Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins, and APA format.
l The essay should be submitted before 11: 59 PM on 12/02/2021.
